Russ,
I'll be there. I'm looking forward to the weekend getaway. I'll be at the show on Friday and maybe Saturday. See ya there. Tracy Powell PS: Russ, did your tag line "WITH GUNS, TRUCKS AND BEER WHO NEEDS WOMEN" come from Brokeback Mountain? |

Heard there will be a couple of the "mintiest" Commercial presentation lugers with some sort of South American chamber markings available for sale at Reno...not sure if they will be M1900's or M1906's.
Heard this at the recent SOS show in the context of one of the better skilled boosters working nowdays. Keep an eye out for them and take photos. I am of course, skeptical of those minty lugers... This was one that was at Reno a couple of years ago on Shattuck's table and even later at the Greg-Martin auction offerings : I heard from an old timer that this pistol case actually held a hair curling kit in the 1960's time frame...certainly not a presentation, period-correct case. |

Pete, I heard it was a bust... Russ told me that the snow between California and Reno kept lots of folks stranded or not coming. He said he sat around bored on Friday, Saturday and Sunday
He did take a ton of pictures for me, Ralph brought his Simson' 1925, 1926 and a rework (plus one more I'd rather not mention) for Russ to take pictures of for me {{which I apprecaite very much!!}} Ed

Pete,
I believe that Wally Morishige owns those 'presentation' pieces that you referenced and that there are 3 of them identified as a 1906 Peru Presentation,1906 ParaguayPresentation, 1900 Ergercito Mexicana Presentation Test. He had them at the Cashman Field Show this past weekend in Las Vegas, but I do not know if they sold. He also had 'KU' that sold and a 1933 'KI' that might still be available. Lyn |
