Default What Luger is Rarer (Fat Barrel)

Hello all,

I am trying to find out which one is rarer and more sought after;

1902 Fat Barrel commercial or,
1902 Fat Barrel American Eagle

I have been trying to save my pennies for one (lotta pennies)

Like em both but cannot decide.

regards

Rene

Rene, you should be so lucky as to have a choice of either one of these! Actually the 1902 commercial is rarer, 445 made according to Jan Still. There were 860 reported 1902 American Eagles from the same source. Pristine examples of either sell for $7-$15K at gun shows, so good luck!
