Commercial Luger?
The serial number is 85453, and the barrel also shows that number. Nitro proofs on the toggle & the barrel extension. It also has Germ marked on it.

Commercial made late 1920 or early 1921, according to Still's Weimar Lugers.

Where is the GERMANY stamped? Do we presume that the c/N on the receiver is upright? .30 caliber?

germ is stamped on the right side of the barrel extension.
9mm caliber. Um, I will have to re-check the receiver c/N when I get home.
