Gift from Jerry to my son
My son has had this Marlin 30-30 for several years and he wanted some work done to it and asked Jerry Burney if he would do the work.
1. Added cartridge holder to the buttstock 2. Add leather around the hand guard. Jerry said I know a guy who can do the hand guard and I can do the cartridge holder. Then as a homecoming gift for my son, who is just back from Afghanistan, that Jerry did the work for free, sent it back at his dime and paid for Roy to do the work in California! Both were done in a day and shipped on Monday and arrived today, one from Arizona, one from California! Very cool |

Looks good!!!
I can see why your son would want the leather around that finger lever...Those edges look pretty sharp... (And Thank You for posting your pics directly to LugerForum!)

Thanks for all the kind words..Jeremy IS back from the sand box as is Ed. I hope neither of them go back!
It's not often we can do something tangible for our returning vets but I couldn't miss this opportunity! I work with leather everyday but have never made any Cowboy type items.. Thanks for posting Ed.. although I was surprised. Glad to have you both home and in good health. Thank you both for your service. Jerry

Ed, please extend my deep thanks to Jeremy for his service to Our Country, welcome home.
Jerry, I really appreciate your branching out your leather crafting skills into Cowboy Action type gear. Your work on my Luger stuff has been outstanding, when my Cowboy stuff needs attention I will call you. |
