DWM Commercial with S/42 replacement barrel
What would a DWM commercial be doing with an S/42 replacement barrel. Could it be that the barrel was switched out from a .30 luger to 9m/m.
Would mauser have done the replacement? the weapon I am inquiring about is a vet bring back just trying to get some details for a friend. Wayne |

Wayne, photos would help allot! Need to see the markings on the right side of the slide if any. Is the barrel numbered to the frame?
Yes, many commercial .30 were replaced with 9mm and put into Military or Police service. Could have been reworked at Mauser or a armory depot. Bob |

The pistol serial number is DWM 463 s Crown N stamps, side plate numbered with 63 in commercial and military style both. All other numbers in strictly commercial fashion. Barrel number to gun (minus suffix) S/42 on bottom of barrel. Eagle 63 stamp.
Sorry gun isnt mine I have no photos to show. W |
