Default Mec Gar P08 Mag

I just bought a subject mag with a steel follower on another forum. Made in Italy. I have been following the discussion on the "Want to Sell" board about Mec Gar mags. Does the mag I bought hold some special value? Looks like someone asked for and then got a nice price on the Lugar board.

Default aaaahhhh, I should think...no....

The mag you have is a now older, probably second or third variation MEC-GAR magazine... The steel follower is similar to the original configuration of Luger mag, but has been a potential source of binding on ALL Luger mags since day one... ... and even though it is rare, it even happens on the hardened MEC-GAR magazine tubes.. Although seldom, maybe one out of a thousand.. but it does happen!!! The new MEC-GAR magazines have plastic followers.. and the problem is solved... .... At least it would seem so.. time will tell! Best to you, til..lat'r...GT
