Need advice on value of Artillery Luger
I have a chance to by this Luger for $1,700.00. It is all matching except the grips and magazine. Magazine is ww2 aluminum base. The Luger does have the fine adjustment for the front and rear sight. Does that seem like a good price? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Seems pretty reasonable to me. Are the grips mismatched or simply un-numbered? Overall the gun looks about average, and $1700 is on the low end for those. Based on what I see I vote that you buy it.

Wow! Wish I could find one like that for $1700. 'Round here, that's a $2200 gun, minimum. I'd buy the heck out of that one!

Thanks for the responses. The grips are un-numbered But appear to be very old and fit very well.

I guy could clean and oil the gun, clean and lightly re-stain/oil the grips just to even them up, add a wood bottom magazine and have a very nice Artillery for a reasonable price.
Keep us posted. dju |

If they are mis-matched or un-numbered, I'd be tempted to carefully chase out some of the damage done to the pattern, too--or have it done. It appears this pistol will clean up nicely. Good price, too.
