Hey Steve - sorry about that..!!!

I was in the server changing the HTML coding - using this message thread as the "test" when you were posting - and I think it hit the "first" note when you were posting your reply back to it!!!..!!! Anyway - I'll try to put the note back up!!!

Anyway - I agree with you!!! If I can't find the original note to post back - I'll find the links again...!!!

Default unwad your panties gentleman

gee, you guys sure get your panties in a wad over the smallest things. the gun had no bidders yet, much less 2 winners. perhaps if some of you big talkers put your money where your mouth was then i'd be concerned.

I don't think any of us are talking big; we would like to know what happens if there are 2 winners.

Is the seller going to use a "Shill" to outbid one of the winners in order to complete the sale with the other. If there are 2 legitimate winners what kind of excuse is the seller going to give the "Loser"?

Anyway, I already have a nice G-Date...

Below are some of the R&R's for using AA.

Perhaps the seller should read them..

Seller Exclusivity: If a Seller lists an item for sale at Auction Arms, the Seller is contractually obligated to complete the sale of that item if the Reserve Price is met in a Reserve style auction, or if any bids are placed in a Basic style auction. Likewise, if a Seller lists an item with Auction Arms, that Seller agrees that Auction Arms has exclusive rights to sell that item. The Seller is not permitted to list the same item in another venue, or sell the item to a buyer outside of Auction Arms. Failure to complete the sale under those circumstances is cause for negative feedback and/or explusion from Auction Arms.

I think the gentleman doth protest too much. Perhaps he should inform his fellow South Carolinian that he may be committing a federal offense. By listing on either website, the seller has contracted, in writing, to sell the gun to highest qualified bidder on that website. Assuming he gets winning bids in both auctions, he will have to stiff one bidder, in violation of the contract. He is committing fraud and is engaging in interstate commerce.

After my first post in this thread, I recalled that the same gun had surfaced here earlier, also in connection with Mr. Collins. On April 13, he posted a message along the lines of "Interesting G Date on Gunbroker..." The same seller, from South Carolina, had posted the gun at that time, but subsequently failed to obtain bids high enough to meet his reserve price. It has since been reposted in the two auctions mentioned here. This sequence of events disturbs me. I would hate to see the Forum abused by subterfuge and connected with unethical business practices. I know that the overwhelming majority of members feels the same way.

Default There's no substitute...

for good manners Tom. Other gun forums have folded because users were free to stoop to name calling and generally harrassing each other. I like to think we're above that here.
