Default Arrived today 1915 Prussian Pioneer Haube

Got this in the mail today almost like it was delivered through a time machine.

Impressive Imperial artifact.
The leather looks like it's in good shape, too.

Is there any history with the helmet ?

The only History I know on the helmet is that it was issued to Pioneer Battallion 27 as per the unit mark on the rear visor. The helmet to me appears to be unissued.

That is a super example, finding one in that original condition is extremely rare. I really like pickelhauben and I am pleased that you have shared yours with us.

Nice!

I like Pickelhauben myself. Here is a Zittau Polizei spike helmet that I picked up recently. Notice that since this is a Saxon City Police helmet the cockades are in Zittau City colors as is correct.

I also have a Saxon ( eisenbahn )Helmet.

Its one of my favorites. I love the Silver on black look of these helmets
