3 from the same Regt., representing 3 Companies. That's very neat...

In 1918 the Bavarian 8th Inf. Regt. was interspersed with:

4th Bavarian Inf. Div.~

1918-

Thiaucourt , suffered heavy losses, 1600 captured.

14th Bavarian Inf. Div.~

1918-

Champagne ,

Picardy, suffered heavy losses, 2500 captured.

16th Bavarian Inf. Div.~

1918-

Battle of Picardy,

Ypres,

Battle of the Sarpe-Somme , suffered heavy losses.

Battle of Dixmude , extremely heavy losses.

Balder, what is the serial number on your 1911 DWM with the B.*. unit mark?
