I'm betting that somewhere out there there is an old engraver who could tell you more about the style a detail of the engraving, maybe, and I do mean maybe, who did it. It could be signed by the artist somehow, somewhere on the gun. Examine it closely with a glass.
And I wonder why they modified the rear sight? Then jacked the front sight clear over. An enigma inside of a riddle... dju |

I suspect that TK or KT is the client/owner/bill payer, not the craftsman.
Correct, the rear sight has been cut to a U from a V. And the front blade is way to the left. Just seems like there was some "smithing" done somewhere along the line. My $.02. dju |

I'm not one for engravings as well but... OMG I love this one. Very nicely done and I would agree it is German engraved by the style.
I wonder if Dieter Marschall would recognize the style of the engraving. He is very knowledgeable when it comes to PPK engravings of the same period. Thanks for posting Bob |

I'm another who is not normally fond of engraving but that pistol is quite nice and I like that more reserved style of engraving.
Very nice |
