Through some online and book store research I've identified this pistol as a 1908-09 military first issue. Next I'm taking it in and having a few gun dealers in my area evaluate its condition i.e. bluing, straw, etc. I would be willing to sell the gun, holster/belt, and 2 extra clips if anyone is still interested.

Hi Paul,
Can you prove a close-up photo of the left side frame markings...? This would confirm your 1908 1st. Issue...cannot see in the photos you have provided so far...Also...if a 1908 1st. Issue, the right side frame should be absent any markings/proofs...which I think your right-side photo does... Regards, Pete... <img border="0" alt="[typing]" title="" src="graemlins/yltype.gif" /> |

Vegas,
When you have established a price for the gun I suggest that you post it on the LugerForum classified section with a thorough description. I also recommend providing more detailed photographs if possible. I am potentially interested in the gun depending on its condition and price. KFS |
