Oh ok that's not normally blued? Well darn! Oh well. Would it be possible to remove the blueing on these parts? Would that restore some of the value lost from blueing normally non-blued parts? Is it even possible to unblue something? lol

Yes, no and yes. Blueing is easily removed and blued parts can be made to look like they were originally, if they came unblued from the factory. None of this will really enhance value, as a messed with pistol will always be a messed with pistol.

The sides of the extractor, (where the Geladen" is stamped) are supposed to be bare metal, or as we say, "in the white".

The "Gesichert" under the movable safety lever should have some white/yellowish color fill in it. No color there is another sign of a possible reblue.

mm great ok so we can conclude my $2000 investment has been at least partially reblued. Lovely. Oh well.. it's still a luger! Thanks for the info guys I really appreciate it!
