Default Aluminum Mag Bases?

I saw a post a while back where someone had made some custom aluminum bases for Mec-Gar magazines - I bought (backordered at the moment) three of the magazines but really would like the aluminum bases. Who does that mod, or is it something I can buy and do myself? (I'm no stranger to modding/gunsmithing.)

GT, (Gerald Tomeck) here on the site is the undisputed wizard of Luger magazines and he offers the aluminum bases. Look for his posts in the accessory section and contact GT directly.

Ken, I do have a few of GT's aluminum bottoms in stock @$35 each + $5 S&H or one of his new MecGar mags with the alum base installed @$95 + $10 S&H. TH

Lugerdoc, are those factory ones, or repros? I'm also considering letting my stainless wood-bottomed magazine go even though it (sorta) matches the number on my pistol. I don't have a matching numbers pistol so it doesn't mean much to me; I'd rather just have a matching set of magazines!
