Interesting, they describe the holster as 1906 but they don't display the reverse which should have the "Rock Island Arsenal" and possibly some inspection initials. I would like to see how it compared the the original test holsters!

That should be one concern!!! #6069 and #7109 identical wear patterns! Identical discriptions....Restoration ???? Why is one $15k more than the other!

For the most part, yes. Some did stay State-side at places like West Point and Presidio, etc., so would not have been subject to field conditions. However, seeing two in such good condition together either indicates that the former owner was wealthy and motivated enough to seek out the very best, or there has been a bit of enhancement on the pieces. The 1906 date on the holster does not add anything to the credibility of the set. Sure looks nice though
