Problem staying logged in
Anyone else having this problem. Started a few days ago and persists. Luger Forum does not stay logged in. Even though I check remember me. I go to the message board and bring up a thread. Then when I click back on message board it has everything locked, so I have to log in every time! Very frustrating. I completely exited Luger Forums and tried all over again. I still makes me log in every time I click message board.

Thanks, I have not experienced this issue before very frustrating. Thought it might be a Russian hack!

LugerForum was down a few days ago, for some time [hours?]. I put it down to John D. maintenance...
May have a slight glitch now...I had to sign in to make this post, unusual for me...I had logged in as usual this morning w/no problem...

Yeah, it's been fine for the last few days, so I figured it was some maintenance.
No worries, here. Thanks for all of you who volunteer and for the WebMaster - I appreciate your talents and time. |

I think it's because certain browsers don't like the auto switch from a non-secure to a secure site...?
When I saw this thread - I had a good "head scratch" trying to figure it out - but, when I opened it up with the "www" link - it didn't swap over automatically.?? Soooo. I just added a few lines of text to the HTTPS redirect code - and let me know in this thread - if you have any further issues, OK? You should see a padlock - or "secure" or whatever your browser shows as a "secure site, regardless of how you come into the site/forums (yes - there are multiple entry points), as to be expected with a site that has been around for over twenty years My best to all...! Thanks John.
I just refreshed my browser and confirmed it's got the padlock (secure) ! (Mac OS 12.x Monterey with Safari 15.3, Chrome ver 99.0.4844.51, and Firefox 97.0) All current. I wasn't getting kicked out, I was having trouble getting logged in, but that was last week. I haven't had any hiccups this week. Cheers! |

Thanks buddy!! Glad it's working for you - and hopefully the others in this thread as well...
Yep - a few days ago when the ISP had an issue with a router upstream, I figured "it was time" to drop the new code into the forum/community... While I wish there wasn't a hiccup in it, I guess there was for a few? Anywho - again - thanks for the feedback and encouragement Mac Cat! John |

Perfect - thanks Mark!!
I've got finger's x'ed that the forced browser swap from non-secured to secured will work for all - and glad it worked for you! Any thanks for the feedback and input, Mark! John D. |

I had not even noticed it was https// now instead of http//...But Seamonkey [Mozilla] 2.53.11 swapped seamlessly...Or so it seems...But I will replace my bookmark anyway...
