K-dated Mauser
hi friends! yesterday i got my second luger. it is an original, not reworked k-dated S/42. i bought it very cheap at a dealer. it was covered with black colour and looked not very nice. at home i took the colour off and what surprise.there were only those parts painted, which were blued-off through the wearing in a holster. it ist now in an 95%blueing original condition without any rust, im very proud on it. there are only plastic-grips on it, but i think, on the next gun-market i will get some original old ones made of wood. i dont understand the following thing: every part has the endnumber 57 and an normal "S" (the full number is 5057 without any letter). but on the top there ist the "gotic-S" in front of the /42 and an normal "S" too.
on one little part inside the gun is also the gotic-S and the 57. i thougt till yesterday, there are either normal-S or gotic-S on the complete gun. please mail at [email protected], i cant be always at the message board. many thanks and sorry for my english. greetings from germany. dieter |
