Welcome Gerard to the Lugerforum
I know I am not speaking only for myself when I tell you that we are honored that you would visit our Lugerforum.
I own all three of your previous e-books on the Luger. Your illustrations are excellent. I recommend this book series to new Luger enthusiasts. Please take the time to fill out a user profile for the forum and tell us about yourself and your long-time interest in Luger pistols. thanks, John |

Thank you John
Thank you John for all your kind messages on the board regarding my work.
I hope you will enjoy this last Luger Ebook who is closing the series. All the content was drawn from my French hard bound book : La Connaissance du Luger written in 1996. That book (in French) is now available through Ray Rilling site whose url is : http://www.rayrilingarmsbooks.com/cgi-bin/rrb455.cgi/3510.html If you like my artwork, no doubt you will enjoy this book, as the drawings are by far more crisp when printed on a good paper. A book on Colt pistols is also available on the site. Larry Rilling have just ordered a new series today. If one of you in the board want to order a book through Rilling's and have his book signed and dated by me, it is the right time to order it before the books are shipped to Larry. Both books (La Connaissance du Luger and Les pistolets Colt - 100 ans de production) are sold 45 $ Now, with the English ebooks, anybody who would buy the french paper version would have the opportunity to both appreciate the drawings and the content through the English ebooks. I do no like very to speak about me as a private person. Authors offer their work and the few knowledge they have gathered. It is their way to leave an imprint of their passage on earth. I apologyse for my English that I suppose will appear somewhat clumsy for many of you. I am a French speaking person. That is why I rely on my friend John Veit to correct the wording when necessary (for sure it is often necessary). Thank you again John for your kind words and I send a hello to all of you US collectors. Gerard Henrotin (from a tiny country in Europe -- Belgium) |

Re: Welcome Gerard to the Lugerforum
I own all three of the previous ebooks, and I second John's comments. The Luger Mechanicals ebook is especially helpful to newcomers; the Assembly/Disassembly section makes the job easy.

Re: Who knows all the Luger producers ?
Welcome to the forum! I also own all three of your other Luger books and look fprward to purchasing this one also. Don't worry about your English. How many of us here in the US could even carry on a brief conversation in French? I am sure Luger terminology is not included in most schools that teach English. Your knowledge comes across just fine!

Re: Thank you John
Gerard. Must the e-book be stored on the hard drive or can it be written to a CD? How much space does the average book take up? Looks like a good thing to have but am concerned about storage on computer and loss if Computer crashes.

Re: A quick glance suggests..."maybenot"
Dok ;
I'm probably wrong again but it seems to me that there is software that will run Win98 pc software on a Mac. Perhaps John Sabato. will comment on this brash statement . John, is there such software or not ? ViggoG |

Re: A quick glance suggests..."maybenot"
Putting all four editions on a CD would be a real nice accomplishment. I believe that there are some of us here who are technically minded enough to educate us on how this can be done. I for one would appreciate the help. (Helloooo..John)!

Our ebooks on CD
Our Ebooks must be stored on the Hard disk as upon installation there is a process to install the password and this one is WRITTEN on the HD. This cannot be done on a CD.
The ebooks could be gathered on a CD but when transferred on the customer HD, this one would have to follow the same billing process as usual for each ebook stored. There is no advantage to get the ebooks through CD as the downloading is quicker and you get automatically the last version. From time to time, data are added or modified. Another advantage of the Ebooks upon paper books G©rard For those of you that like old French revolver, here is the last ebook on the subject by two renown French authors. Le revolver Chamelot-Delvigne Mod 1873. As usual, many pictures and drawings + 2 animated sequences. Sometime, even in French, innovative publications are worth to be seen. It is perhaps time to learn a little bit French gentlemen ... No ! Loading url is : http://users.skynet.be/HL-Editions/ebook/delvi1.htm Look at that beautiful piece that I painstakingly draw http://users.skynet.be/HL-Editions/ebook/1873droi.jpg |

Yes I believe that there is still produced an Intel simulator for Macs
But I am not sure how compatible the operating system used is with modern browser software... Like Al Gore, this sounds like a risky scheme to me... but you are only risking $5.95 if you already own the Mac simulator software. If you own a Mac and want to try this, drop me a line and we can talk about how it might be possible. Since speed is not an issue for just reading a book, it just may be possible... but I don't own a Mac to experiment with...

Re: I Hope I did'nt make trouble
Hey Dok, do they realize that they can thank Macintosh for this great forum? The two other PC generated forums that I visit frequently are continually dropping the New Messages highlight, but never has it happened to me here.
