Walther P88
Here are some pics of a Walther P88. It was Walther's entry into the U.S. Army's 1911 replacement competition (ultimately won by the P38 style Beretta). It failed the adverse conditions test, and was probably too expensive to be selected anyway.
A nice example of a fairly uncommon (about 10,000 produced) "wondernine". Jack

Darn nice one! Off hand I can't remember why I don't have one of these??? Seems that I wanted one at one time.

Nice P88 Jack! One of the few Walthers I don't own.. but have shot one and the thing is a tack driver!
