M2 firing pin #s

Should the firing pin be numbered to match the S# of a M2, or should it be blank?

Mike, you are talking about the Portuguiese (sp) gun? It is helpful to say that, as there are an estimated 500 variations of the luger over 50+ years of manufacture...

Sorry,
I thought there were only two variations of M2s. Army and Navy. I've never heard of a (sp). What is it?
I was refering to the M1906 King Manuel II Royal Portugese Army. I wish I had a Navy to refer to though. Only six reported.

Mike,

My M2 Portuguese luger # 2866 has an un-fluted, un-numbered firing pin assembly. From the cleaning I had to do to get the assembly apart, I would guess it was with the luger for a long time.

OOOHHH. Darn, I was hoping I had a (SPecial) variation. duh. BTW some of those abbreviations make my little brain hurt.

I'm glad to here that yours is the same as mine and original.
I also got a message from Tom Heller and he confirmed that these are correct for a Portugese M2.
