Default Front sight hight ??

Have a 3 7/8 in .30 cal. that is shooting about 8 inches high at 25 yards. This pistol has the standard front sight on it. Does any know the front sight hight of a Swiss or DWM 06 front sight and the standard 1923 front sight? Thanks David. Trying to find the highest front sight.

Default David, there have been previous discussions on front sight height

Do a search on "front sight" and then look through those threads.

I can tell you that P38 front sights will fit the dovetail and they come in several different heights. These sights have a good square front sight picture so if your Luger is a shooter and not a collector you can square up the rear notch from the 'v' that it currently is and make a marked improvement in your sights, but don't try this at home with a matching number collector's item please...

If you choose to keep the rear sight as a V-notch, and use a P38 front sight, once you have the correct height you can thin up the front sight to the same inverted V profile of a Luger front sight...

regards,

John
