Ron, yes, it's within the same 'family'. And just like most things here in Europe, it's not quite as big.. The ox can be up to 600kg.
I don't hunt elg that much, it's pretty much just for filling the freezer. Sitting on a chair with radio communication waiting for the dog to chase out the elg in front of me, is not my favorite type of hunting.
I prefer hunting forest birds, like these http://no.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tiur , http://no.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orrfugl , http://no.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rype , http://no.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jerpe. I have actually used the Krag for these also sometimes, using full metal jacket. But naturally, mostly the shotgun.
Sorry if I'm drifting off topic, hunting is my #1 hobby. So making me shut up about it can be difficult sometimes
