Charges Filed After Boy, 13, Allegedly Towed Down Road In The Dark On Plywood â??Sledâ??

By: By BILL JONES/Staff Writer

08-03-2007

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Two Midway residents were charged with reckless endangerment on Thursday night after a car driven by one of them allegedly towed a 13-year-old boy on a makeshift sled behind a car on a county road.

A report and arrest warrants filed by Deputy Sheriff Adam Arrington said he was parked on the lot of the DTR Tennessee plant on Pottertown Road when he saw a white Dodge Shadow automobile pass by towing behind it a person (who was later determined to be the 13-year-old boy) â??on a piece of plywood.â?

The youth escaped injury in the incident, officers said.

The makeshift sled, according to Deputy Arringtonâ??s report, was attached to the rear of the car with a â??tow strap.â?

Deputy Arrington reported that, as he was attempting to stop the car, which did not have its headlights on despite the darkness, the vehicle turned into a private driveway at 300 Pottertown Road.

When Deputy Arrington reached the car, according to a report and arrest warrant, he found its driver to be Benjamin R. Bostic, 36, of 300 Pottertown Road.

Bostic, according to arrest warrants, was charged with reckless endangerment and DUI. He also was cited for having an expired license plate and violating the financial responsibility law.

Bond for Benjamin Bostic was set at $2,000. He was scheduled to make an initial appearance on the charges in General Sessions Court today.

Second Person Charged

Another arrest warrant indicated that a Deputy Arrington also charged Angela Randolph Bostic, 42, of 300 Pottertown Road, with reckless endangerment in connection with the Thursday night incident.

A criminal summons filed against her alleged that she had been â??in charge of the 13-year-old boyâ? whom Benjamin Bostic towed down Pottertown Road on the makeshift sled behind a car. The summons said the 13-year-old boy is the nephew of Angela Bostic.

Angela Bostic also was summoned to appear in General Sessions Court on Aug. 3, according to the criminal summons.

Now that's world-class stupid!
And these are ususally the same folks who like to dress up in strange costumes, get together in the woods in the middle of the night and pronounce themselves a "superior race"!

Pay particular attention to any redneck who announces, "Hey Y'all, watch this!" They may well be the last words he ever speaks.

We have a lot of idiots who insist on riding 4-wheelers on country roads.
2 15-year olds bloused a grain truck a while back-one lived.

Someone should frame it the article and give it to him, truly a fantastic achievement!

Find them in the little town I come from also..

Not long ago, a guy where taken for driving under influence. He was driven back to his house by the police to sleep it off and where obliged to meet up at the police station the following day. During the night, he came to realize what he has done.. and the expence the fine would cause him.
So he stood up, got on his tractor, butt naked and started plowing outside his house. Not on the fields, but just outside on his own lawn. Swiftly demolishing the grass and his wifes flowers.
A neighbor notified the police. When they came, he was found sleeping naked on his tractor. So they decided to let him sleep it off in the 'drunk tank' instead.
All whas described in details in the local newspaper, no names given.. but a quick glance in his garden, made it quite obvious.

They are everywhere...

Gary Wheeler and Homer Cunningham. Two Cousins that I went to school with. When I got out of the Navy in '73 I heard that they had swilled down some home brew and decided to try a game of Russian Roulette. They chose a Ruger Standard .22 cal semi-auto pistol. Homer went first...... he lost. I did not make this up... It's true.

Gary Wheeler lost part of his hand in '67 making a pipe bomb. He filled a section of pipe with black powder and comensed pounding the ends flat with a hammer.

Just goes to show you that family reunions aren't a good place to look for a date.

At least the west coast is not immune

ASSAULT WITH A FROZEN SQUIRREL
A man who hit his wife with a frozen squirrel has been arrested by California police. Kow Kai Sepan, 26, took several squirrels from his freezer during an argument, his wife told officers in Sacremento. When she walked into the kitchen her husband swung the squirrels at her and hit her on the head. She fell against the table and suffered a gash above her eye. Police could not immediately say why the squirrels were in the freezer.

I think she's hot!

Is the furry thing on the right trying to get out, the only ***** in the image?

I think the one with the straw hat is the sister, daughter, aunt, mother, AND Grandma.
