Info requested for vet bring back rifles
2 rifles recently obtained from WW II vet's estate - both are single shot bolt actions -
JGA (Anschutz) 5.6x35 , Eagle /N proof marks on receiver and bolt, checkered wood stock, hard plastic butt plate, schnaebel forend, sling swivels with leather sling, adjustable rear sight and double set triggers blued finish with bolt in the white - excellent condition. (see photos) Alfa Karabiner Mod. 27, 6mm Flobert, B/Crown/U proofs (Belgian ?) blue finish with bolt in white, beechwood stock (?) good to very good condition. (no photos) Any information is greatly appreciated as I intend to sell both once fair value is determined. Respectfully, JMV375 Macomb, MI [email protected] |

Alfa and Anschutz
Thanks for the info.
Alfa carbine is only worth about $125 to $150. On the other hand...sources indicate the Anschutz is worth about $375 to $400 to a collector...of course once it's rechambered to .22 Hornet is has lost all collector appeal. The Anscutz was taken apart and found to have been proofed in October, 1941. Thanks again, JMV375 Joe V. [email protected] |

Alfa and Anschutz
Take no offense...many sources responded to my various inquiries.
In this internet age the info just pours in once you post a question and request the expertise of others. Respectfully, Joe V. |
