Default Re: Ajax grips anybody try them?

What types of wood Doug? I have believed in the past that most repos come from the same source, they all have that hideos thick back (and sometimes front) edge, and most dont fill in the area on the top left grip under the frame and against the safety area. AND some have two "long toes" that stick way out from the frame at the very bottom of the front strap! There is definetly a need for a quality grip, the best we can do at present is buy uncheckered Nill-Griff then have Hugh Clark rechecker them. The Nills fit the best but the wood IMO has too much figure to look right (I know some Lugers do have this figure, but most are fairly uniform without figure) and the checkering quality has went south recently. Don Leverty just visited their outlet store in Bandera TX and hand picked a pair! Wish I could do that but 700 miles is a bit far. I will be interested in finding out about these AJAX grips! PLEASE!!!!.....keep us informed if you buy some! Thor
