Idpa?
Hello,
I have this wild idea of shooting a Luger in IDPA. The problem is, though I've always had an affinity for Lugers, I don't have one and don't really know anything about them. I'd be looking for a reliable shooter, a few mags, some replacement parts (like springs, I guess). I wouldn't campaign with the gun, I'd just do it occasionally for grins. Anybody ever done anything like this? Anybody got a good candidate shooter for sale? What about sights? What do I need to know about ammo (my normal 9mm load is a 147 CMJ that does about 875 fps out of a 1911)? What do I don't even know I don't know? If this is ridiculous, at least be entertained. Thanks. |

I have shot International Pistol Shooting Association events
with a 1917 Artillery Luger. It was for fun and I enjoyed it. I used 115 gr Winchester ammo with FXO Luger mags which are reliable. Bob |
