Started a website for my father-in-law
Hello Luger Fans,
I just finished working on a website for my father-in-law.. It's nothing too fancy. I also created this account for him so that he can join this forum. I think this will be a fantastic resource for him to get involved with the larger luger community. He's a retired fireman from the City of Philadelphia and he's decided to get in to collecting, buying, and selling quality lugers. His website is www.misterluger.com and you can view a few of his guns. I think he has 6 in his collection. I plan on passing him the log in information for this account I just created but I wanted to invite you to send him an email to introduce yourself ([email protected]). Take care. |

email sent with some tips and hints. I have sold for the last couple of years and its a tricky business, expecially if you want to keep a good reputation, yet make some money ;>)
I live in the Harleysville area, so not far from where he lives. I also recognize the name of the member, but unsure if I can see it because I am a Admin or all can see his name.... ed

Welcome to both you and your father-in-law!
Not meant as critisism, just a couple of things you might concider to include/exclude; -who is Mr Luger? For someone to spend thousands of dollars ordering a firearm, I think most would like to know know the name of the seller instead of an alias and a PO box. -'Swiss black widow' does not sound good in many collectors ears. Swiss M1929 Bern Luger does. -airsoft Luger on frontpage? I'm mention it only as advice so that things does not start out the wrong way for his new business. Wish him the best of luck.

Thanks for the feedback.. We've discussed adding an About Mr Luger page and I've got the text I just need to add it. Very good feedback.
Also, Regarding the luger picture on the front page... I found that pic on an ebay listing (I think).. It's a nice looking picture. But I don't know anything about the gun (I asked the poster if he had a copyright issue and I never received a reply).. I've been discussing the possibility of taking pics of one of his gun and I think I'll make that a priority. Thanks again. |
