Sorry Guys, trying to learn here, see msg.
There is a nickle plater 1916 Luger on Gunboard item # 143499833. My question is on the s/n, would a factory rework ever have the original s/n (1258)x'ed out and a new one(9712) stamper on in such a fashion? If so would they also x-out the barrell s/n ( not shown) Or is someone here trying here to make a non matching reciever match the other parts stamped 12? Never seen a Luger with a altered s/n like this. Just trying to see if was indead done.
