Hi,

Welcome to the forum...

Your DWM was manufactured by Deutsche Waffen und Munitionsfabriken

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deutsch...itionsfabriken

The original manufacturer of the Luger.

It could be rare, or it could be very common. Pictures and better description will help. It's probably an Alphabet Commercial, which is fairly common.

You'll find all the facts you need on this website.

Are you sure about the suffix 'h'? could it be an 'n'?

This is what Jan Still renamed them, since it was more accurate;

1920 Commercial (better called Alphabet DWM)

1923 Commercial (better called 20 DWM)

Essentially, if I may quote Ron Smith
Quote:
The only noticeable difference that I know of is that the 1920s have 4 digit Ser# with a suffix (Alphabet Lugers). 1923s have 5 digit numbers without suffix.
