Re: Luger Era Dates ?
1898-1900 Prototyping and very limited production
1900-1904 Swiss Adoption, Commercial Sales and Military Testing 1904 First Adoption by German Imperial Navy 1908 Adoption by Imperial German Army 1913 Stock Lug added to frame 1914 LP-08 (So called "Artillery" model adopted) 1914-1918 World War I 1918-1933 "Weimar" Era 1933-1942 Mauser III Reich Military/Police Production 1935-1936 Kreighoff makes parts for 15,000 pistols; assembly happens sporatically through 1947 1970 Post war production begins at Mauser; continues intermittently This is pretty much from memory, so I may have missed a date or omitted a milestone. Hope this helps Tom |

Re: Luger Era Dates ?
The generally accepted eras are the Imperial Era (1898 - 1918), the Wiemar Era (1918 - 1933), the Third Reich Era (1933 - 1945) and if anything beyond that is to be considered an Era then Post War would be (1945 - 1970s)
