Very nice!

I have a Russian capture/VoPo refurb P38 that has an excellent refinish on it also.

This seems to be in direct contradiction to some claims I have read about VoPo refurbs looking like they were dipped in pitchblend...

So! Were there more than one VoPo rebuilding facilities??? Was any one worse/better than the others???

Is there a distinctive mark/stamp of the individual VoPo facility to differentiate them???

Thanks I bought it because it was such a interesting mix of parts ! It also has a new east German barrel which was a plus i thought. As far as your P38 I think some were just in much better condition before they were refurbished.Than the end result looks much better. here is a link that shows some much better pictures. Its hard to post real detailed pictures here do to size limitations

It gives off a nice, diabolical vibe.
