Default W&S stamp...

Hello fellows,
A friend of mine located in Switzerland has a 9mm Carbine with this W&S stamp.

Do you have any idea about the meaning...

Cheers,
Mauro

No answer; only another question...Is that a spacer between the barrel and the receiver???

There was another carbine here lately with the same type of spacer...

W&S could indicate one marketed by Webly & Scott. You would need a spacer when installing a long frame (original carbine) barrel into a short frame receiver. I do have a few spacers left in stock @$20 each, that I got years ago from a purchase of Pacific Arms parts.

So instead of making two separate barrels, you could make one and the spacer...to fit either receiver...That's quite clever...

Would Webley & Scott have stamped a proof mark on their barrels???
