Ed
I think Tom is referring to the avatar of the gent from the Jersey Channel Islands. It shows a couple of very nice Jaguar XKE sports cars.
Jag is a commonly used slang term.

Some of my favourite memories have been with a MGB....
Here's a recent snap in the winter sun.

I know what you mean. Underpowered as it was, I was happy with my p-1800, though. Although a Swede is credited for its design, it is of Ghia origins. I've seen pics and vids of late 50's Italian cars that were its obvious predecessors.

Your photo brings back fond memories. My 1963 E-Coupe was my only car at the time and had to go everyday, which it was not overly interested in doing, especially if it was raining. It finally beat me down and I sold it. I sure wish that I had it now as a "toy".

Beautiful. Looks like a civilized, modified, modernized, 4 cyl half track. Really nice. What is it? Not the beautiful Jags, rather that other long legged beast.

Default What it is

It is a 1947 Bentley MK VI Special aka the Black Adder.

Built from a 2-door sport coupe that rusted out it has a 5 liter straight 6 with four speed on a shortened frame.

Wild and fast.

and I'm still off topic....
