The flutes in your latest photo make all the difference in the world... they were just not visible in your previous photos. This pin is genuine and original to this gun IMHO.

Thanks, John, Norm Postino, your comments have been valuable to me.
Now I will jump into my Sherlock-shoes and hat and do some research on Tikkakoski and Finish lugers! Rgds, /Erik |

I'm not sure about any special proof marks...but is there anything on the front sight??? Letters; numbers; any marks??? On the blade itself or on the barrel band (or the stepped base)???

So far I have only noted the "T" in a circle on the upper side of the barrel. I'll check the front sight too.

Two years (!) later I remebered to check the barrel - No more visual markings than the 'T' in a circle.

S'OK...We weren't holding our breaths...
These 4 3/4" barrel Finn Lugers are IMHO quite desirable...and worth more than an equivalent "German" Luger (again, just my opinion)... If you have finished cleaning it up ( 2 yrs is about right), more pics would be nice...taken in subdued light (like outside on cloudy day) and in hi-res (1100 x 1100 would be nice) - left and right pics of complete pistol... What kind of magazine does it have??? IIRC, Finn mags were also somewhat different...Maybe a pic of bottom [aluminum plug] of mag...Any marks...Welded seam, stamped & folded, extruded...???...
