Ralph Shattuck's World of Lugers
Does Ralph allow any ordinary Joe off the street to see his "World of Lugers"? I was just curious as I would like to see His Lugers someday!

Re: Ralph Shattuck's World of Lugers
Brandon, the majority of Ralph's business is done from his lists that one can subscribe to (they can also be subscribed to online). He does not have a public 'storefront' and any direct contact would most likely be at a gunshow (he attends many major shows) or by personal invitation. He is listed in our resources section and can be contacted via email if you are interested. The Lugerforum event was a year in the planning and interested individuals who expressed the desire to be a part of this gave a lot of advance notification.

Re: Ralph Shattuck's World of Lugers
Brandon,
I only started my luger interest at the first part of Feb. 2002. Once some of the Forum folks directed me to Ralph's WOL, I e-mailed and called Ralph and started a dialogue... Once I had narrowed down my interest in a particular luger, I sort of called Ralph and asked if I could drop by his home (where he sells his 1100+ lugers from). I travel on business alot and was a 1/2 day's drive away from Ralph's. Ralph sells lugers and I don't know if he would be "open" to having someone just drop by to look unless you had some buying interest. You should call him and discuss. His luger list is only $ 2.00 for a one-time printing that he can mail to your home...or you can buy access to the luger list on-line with a credit card... Since the Luger Fest seems to be an annual event, that woudld also be a time for a "look"...but you would need to wait almost a year. Ralph and many others are showing at the Tulsa, OK Gun Show on 4-6 and 4-7 of this year. If you are in the area, I understand from many Forum members that it is a good luger show...but of course, Ralph does not travel with all 1100 guns... |

Ralph Shattuck's World of Lugers
Well I should have phrased what I said earlier different
I'f I called Ralph up and said, Ralph I'm in the market for say a byf/42 in minty condition, and I'm going to be in the area for a couple of days. Could I possibly make an appointment to see you about one. Do you think that would be okay with him. I wouldn't go from Tennessee to Arizona and not buy anything. I can guarantee him that. |

Post Photos If You Buy...
Hello Brandon,
Please post some photos of any luger(s) that you might buy from the WOL... From 1st. hand experience, I know you will have a difficult time just buying one... Ralph will let you bring along a camera to shoot any treasure you decide on... |

Re: Post Photos If You Buy...
I'll sure do that, but it probably won't be anytime soon.
My funds are sort of, well, Low right now ;(. And Tennessee is a pretty long way from Arizona. If I buy something just from the list I'll post pictures of it also. See ya Later,Brandon |
