James,
Your Garand rifle has a very beautiful stock. That level of figuring in the walnut is rare. Marc

My first tour in Germany our small unit was armed with Garands. My assigned piece had that beautiful grained walnut. The stock was mint and we carefully cleaned it, boiled some linseed oil and gave it a lovely satin sheen. Every year at annual qualification I "awarded" the top scorer that stock for his weapon. By the end of my tour our unit had the highest average score in the Group...competition was keen for that stock! I have often wondered where it ended up.

I think a 1911 or 1911A1 needs to be added, but you have a great collection!

Thanks all. The M1 is a nov. 1942 and the stock is a correct(possibly original) E McF cartouch, tiger stripe walnut. It's a regular shooter also. All my guns are shooters.

Ed, you are right. As soon as I find the one that calls me, I'll take it home.

Hope you find one that speaks to you...it would fit right in with your fine guns.
