Bombe G-Date
When I was taking some photos of my 1935 G-Date, I remembered a short discussion with the previous owner, who stated he also had an Erma .22lr set for the pistol, which he sold separatly.
So I decided to dress up the G-Date with my own Erma .22lr conversion kit and show it with contemporary DWM produced .22lr ammunition and a small promotional booklet showing the same ammunition. The brick pack is quite rare, it contained 10 boxes with a total of 500 rounds of ammunition. The 'Bombe' brand goes back a long time, the flaming bomb logo can be found on early large calibre shells produced by DWM and its forerunner Deutsche Metallpatronenfabrik, usually with the 'Patronenfabrik Karlsruhe' headstamp. In later years, DWM associated the logo with their small calibre ammunition, introducing the 'Bombe' brand. |
