Default Narrow/wide grip safety

Greetings,
Can anyone elaborate on the timing of the change of the narrow grip safety to the wide one. I own a 1900 test eagle (6391) and a 1900 Swiss (1445). Both have the narrow grip safety. I also own a 1902 fat barrel (22565). It has the wide grip safety. Is this correct?

Mike

Mike, around 10052 or so. At one time my AE was the earliest reported wide grip safety. This has changed over time by a few numbers, but it is close. I am shure their are some legitimate ones that may fall out of range in the mix. (As per Dwight G data base 10000 is accepted change). John
