Ed,
really nice. For those of us interested in the "innards", could you show a picture with the forearm removed? Please. What is the diameter of the barrel at the muzzle? Does it balance well? I'll bet it shoots really softly.

could you show a picture with the
forearm removed? Excellent idea! While you are dismanteling the forearm..take out one of those very irritating brass screws and send it to me.

Jack, Eric, They are the screws in the brass oval of the forearm..On Ed's carbine they are brass and look bad..I am trying to find out their size..Now I need the diameter of the flat head and the length..the diameter of the shaft would be nice too..These screws will not be threaded all the way but will have a short blanc shaft. They must be a good steel and fire blued...All of which I could get IF I knew the size!
I would easily get this off of my own carbine but it is a thousand miles away...
