Your opinion please
Gunbroker item #637663399
Price seems low to me. I would like your opinions please. Fake, real, what's wrong with it. Thanks

Here is the link:
http://www.gunbroker.com/item/637663399 Seller is up front about it being refinished, grips not original. He's way off with his pricing, for that money you could do much better looking elsewhere. |

Agreed. Refinished, cheesy grips, and probably mismatched. If you are looking for a shooter and he'll take half the money then it has possibilities.

Especially when getting into lugers, it seems like there are so few around. But if you look, there are hundreds for sale - dealers, gunbroker, forums, literally hundreds - find what you want by waiting

All of the above; and double what Ed said about them being "everywhere"!
I've sold two similar shooter artillery lugers , both around $1200. You are wise to ask first, rather than buy and then ask- as way too many new buyers do! I know, I've done it myself- with lugers, cars, stamps, you name it.

Probably attracted by "all the numbers I can see look to be matching" in the ad? Many new collectors thought all matching being a big deal. It's indeed a big deal, but it's not the only factor being counted on evaluating most C&Rs due to the volume of all matching guns is huge. That's the situation in the US. Of course, there are also refinished guns not matching, or forced matching, etc, those are another step lower.

In most cases with a reblued gun - "all matching" means nothing to me because it's no longer collectible anyway (unless it's a Krieghoff or a 1902 AE or something really valuable like that).
