Two ammos tested today...

The Fiocchi purple box, which is the shortest of the selections, and the old Norma, which has the longest OAL. 2 MecGar mags each with no problems

I'll bridge the gap and try 2 mags each of the rest soon as I can.

Maybe start a new thread with pictures of your pistol and consolidate the "testing" there?

Would be great to figure out what makes your pistol so "forgiving" of ammo!

Default 9mm Parabellum vs. .30 Luger

I don't know much as the man said, but I do know this- in my Luger shooting/handloading experience 9mm is considerably more problematic than .30 Luger. With the exception of WWB (shorter but perfectly functional in Lugers) the 9mm Lugers I have shot like somewhat longer length ammo. My handloads are about 1.161 in length and usually function perfectly with Berry's 115 grain FMJ plated bullets.

I find my .30 caliber Lugers are more tolerant regarding bullet length, and function real well with my handloads using GT's 93 grain FMJ Swiss bullets.

By the way I must give due credit to Sieger, rhuff, and David whose observations about Luger handloading and ammo results were and are extremely helpful to me in developing suitable rounds to shoot in Lugers. Bill
