I wanted an Argentina Colt but never found a deal on one. I think they are all
produced about the same parts. I'm pretty sure everything will fit unless you buy a Llama. Then they have some different stuff. So far I have changed the slide spring. Mag catch, and the hammer. All were direct drop in parts. Might eventually do a Match grade barrel just for fun. |

I have owned my ATI 45 government pistol for a few years now. I am really satisfied with it. Accurate, well made and shoots anything I put in the magazine.

The Argentine Ballester Molina is totally different, but the magazine will interchange. Star and Llama are different for sure. "Match grade" barrel is a marketing label- JMHO.

Don some of them guarantee an 1 1/2 group at 50 yards, from a ransom rest. I don't
have one and they are probably hard to carry concealed ,but sounds good. Like hold on while I setup my Ransom Rest. |

You know the key to 1911 is in the barrel/bushing ; barrel hood/slide; and link/foot clearance and fit to achieve repeatable positioning. After that it is just hold 'er steady!

Probably so Don. I doubt if I could get much better than this one now.
We went again and with the three types of ammo it shot them all well. The Lead reloads shot best but weren't far ahead of the factory Blazer or the Magtech. None skipped a beat. The one partner gave me 3 new stainless Colt Mags. I did find out having a pistol that shoots really well is almost as good as having one that shoots really well and everybody wants it. |
