Post 1916 Erfurt #5302

I have just acquired an Erfurt and need to know the real 'quick sale cash value' from you Luger Gurus!

SN 5302 on slide-barrel-frame [no suffix]
02 on all small parts including non-fluted firing pin, hold open and grips
Crown RC on left Barrel with Crown/? proof
very strong straw where it is supposed to be
excellent bore
no pitting anywhere
127 R.2.M.G. 57 on front grip strap
blue on grips straps and rest of frame almost 100% with GS turning brown
some wear on barrel in usual places and the blue is really 'thin' over all on the tube.
blue is almost gone on front part of bolt but rest is almost 100% ??
Grips are really nice with almost no evidence of use.
mag is wood based and numbered 7881
tool has a Crown over ? proof

holster is doggy..the mag pouch has split and the toe is worn out there is a name and 1911 date ..I cannot read the name. or logo. holster is dry and fragile.

Evening! Its not mint but its not messed with and all matching and obviously an origonal. Not abused but respectably and honorably used.I'd put $650 down for it. BUT, there is the grip strap marking. 127th Regiment, Second Machine Gun Company, weapon no. 57. To the right collector this could add $, depending on need. What year is it? 1915? Wish you were near me.

Among unit marked lugers, machine gun pistols are not rare however 1916 unit marked guns are scarce. I collect unit marked lugers and feel that it might well bring $800 or so depending upon the venue in which you sell it.

The family who own the gun has changed their mind and withdrawn it.

It seems some family members objected to the sale of Great Grandpa's gun.
