In May 1994 issue of American Rifleman magazine in the Question and Answers section has an article on VOPO Lugers. The VOPO Luger that was examined was imported by Century Arms Intl. Century stated the VOPO Lugers were supplied by East Germany to Central America at a unspecified time. Century further stated they imported the VOPO Lugers from Central America but failed to mention which country. The SARCO stamped VOPO Lugers came from a European country.
