Joe, Well, that was a few years back! I thought it had some potential. As I recall I tried to collaborate with the originator of the art work to branch out to many other popular pistols and themes..Then print some posters and perhaps T-shirts. Honestly I forget why it hardly left the ground before it flew over the horizon and was lost at sea? If I recall correctly I was able to sell a few posters...then more artwork never arrived and it faded into obscurity? The art was excellent..As I recall I ended up with the rights & ownership of the cd's of the existing art. But it was on to different projects..

Too bad. I'd like to have a T-shirt with those on the front.

Hey boys..Take the ball and run with it! I ended up paying for the rights to the art. So, I think there are 4 actual artworks. One is missing from this thread..But honestly I need another project like ...well, I don't. Buying, printing, shipping. The posters as I remember were a time sucking endeavor. Fun to do but I think I made enough to pay the artist for his art. It WOULD be fun to see some of the same type of art in the P-38, HSC, Walther PPK, Femaru, Colt..the list would be endless!

Jerry, you DO have the rights to the images. There were never any more pistols featured because, ... have to have something to photograph, and vintage pistols don't grow on trees around here.

I think there is a new crop of members here since you first offered those posters that might enjoy the ambiance they provide. Maybe there is a Forum member to buy the rights from you and, ... ???

I've tried the T-shirt transfers in the past, they aren't good for very many washings.

Joe! Is that you? It completely escaped my feeble mind after so many years. Yes, I am sure you are correct. The project has so many possibilities..The current 4 artworks in poster form or T-shirts. I am somewhat aware of the less than adequate wear on transfers that you bring up. Posters are one thing..T-shirts professionally printed in many different sizes/colors is another type of investment in time and money.

As I recall on posters I took orders and THEN had them professionally printed. That way I didn't have any dead stock. Lots of details to consider on something like this!

Yeah, the one and only !

Been going through the 4ft stack of CDs I burned way back when, and came across the "Luger Lounge" series just now.

Here's a few more;

I've been posting images to 2 different "Art" sites vainly trying to get feedback to see what has broad appeal for a commercial venture. Seems my stuff must be TOXIC to Snowflakes these days.

I'll take the chance of offending some one, and ask for critique from viewers;

Joe, If I were looking for a broad appeal I think I would stick with the simplistic and iconic combat pistols. Just as you did on the first run with the Luger. There is plenty to go on with just with the Luger! The Navy is ripe for exploitation!

Quite a spread could be developed from the Japanese pistols alone! Pistols, holsters, stocks...
Simple is striking and makes a strong identifier.

I think the problem as I see it with more complex photo subjects..no one really wants to identify with them. A Nambu T14 though..a guy wants a poster of his favorite pistol for the den. A Japanese soldier with blood dripping from the corners of his mouth, not so much.

Your first run of posters with the Luger was a great success. I forget how many I shipped but it was surprising to me.

If I were a younger man with less irons in the fire than I have at 70 years..I would be all over this. Even in a snowflake generation, done right, it has some real potential. So far I can manage to keep up with holster repairs but I know better than to try and pay the close attention that this would require.

Where are the younger guys with a little entrepeneural spirit?

I'm into photo-realism as well as miniatures. The real-er looking, the better. Wouldn't mind a poster or Tee, either!

Just save an iron-on for rare special occasions. When it wears out, print and iron one onto another shirt. Or just never wash it. /Hints from Heloise
