Default Next Luger purchase

While sitting enjoying my morning coffee I am thinking hard about my next Luger purchase. So I’m curious what Luger’s are on the short list of other forum members? For me I would love to have an AE 1900 (not a test Luger) also interested in any earlier Swiss. The Portuguese Lugers interest me as do the Brazilian’s which I had a line on one this past winter but fell through.
Just would like to know what other guys are on the hunt for or if their collection is complete.

AE 1900, for sure! I passed on one for $1900 a couple years ago. The little 'lock' on the frame was broke off and is costly to repair.

Once you look into Swiss Lugers you'll probably be hooked...

My short list? Anything Erfurt, as long as it’s matching.

1900 AE

1900 Swiss

1906 Swiss

1906/29 Swiss

The gamut of DWM commercial configurations, 5 digit SN’s preferred. I don’t care if a post-war 5 digit commercial or pre-war.

Other DWM foreign contract guns as come available and able to spend on.

Lucky me that I am 25 with plenty of time.

I keep telling myself.....no more Lugers, period!! BUT, if the right "shooter grade" Navy happened my way, I likely would change my mind.

Unlike HerrKaiser I don't have plenty of time left
But in the time remaining I would like to get a full Navy rig, 1st or 2nd Variation.
1914 DWM Artillery Luger complete rig
1915 DWM Artillery Luger complete rig
1918 DWM Artillery Luger complete rig
A Mauser Banner
And as many other Luger's as I can ... simply because I love them.

Lets see - I have had almost everything that is shooter grade (just a way to get some rarer items), and what I wanted was a dated 1925 and a 1926 Simson (got them), also wanted a unit marked Simson, and wanted a test luger and have picked that up.
I've never had a nice artillery rig, so that is one I'd like to pick up in a year or so.

I need a Navy baaad. Shooter grade would be in my budget. And I'd find anything of the proper configuration acceptable, even a "creation." After that, I'll continue to dream of 1902 Carbines.

I'd like a "death head" luger for a realistic "shooter" price. Since most believe they are faked, one should not be too expensive.

The next on my "want list" is a Vickers. That will complete the manufactures of the Parabellum. A fifty year project still in the making.

I really do need a shooter grade and I think an Artillery with a repro stock and snail drum would be such a blast (no pun intended) at the range! So many choices. I do like reading what other collectors have in mind.
