Default It's That Time Of Year Again...

...When I post a pic to remind those whiners in the Pacific SouthWest why they should be happy to be in 100 degree heat and not here in the Atlantic NorthEast...

Just a foot of snow lingering with no big storms this year.
So far.

Default But wait, there's more...

(Edit: I had forgotten the minus signs).

It was -5 degrees F when I woke up this morning at 8:30am EST. My phone says it was -7 degrees F just after I went to bed.

BUT...Last Saturday I had 1/2 inch of snow on the ground. Penny loafer weather. When I woke up Sunday morn, I had what the pic below shows...

That's a sno-blower cut to clear my driveway, took an hour to clear it. The yellow pole in the middle is a yardstick and it's showing 16 inches of snow. All fell overnight; thick heavy snow. Plows were out all night dumping salt on the road and then plowing that snow-slush mix into the end of my drive.

Not a blizzard, and since it's a Covid weekend, not even an inconvenience. Just an annoyance. I'm pretty sure ithacaartist had more snow than I did. My weather comes from the West; the bad storms come up from the SouthEast. When that happens, Central NY State gets hit hard.

But I'm willing to bet that this is the worst we'll get here in Wrights Corners.

Don't make us mad. We'll cut Alaska in half and make Texas the third largest state. We just need to annex the rest of Canadia now. That would be OK.

It would definitely give our land-based missiles shorter time-in-flight...

That would make the Canuks very happy! Less stupid gun laws!

I think you mean occupied Russia!

We got about a foot in Schuyler County NY. A buddy/helper of the landlord made some passes with a plow, but the rusty ol' Dakota had already negotiated the fresh stuff OK before he got here.

Racist bigots the lot of ya ! ! !

PS: I'm OK with gunnertwo annexing Canadia (Sic) as long as he leaves Canada alone.

By the way, it's super warm here today.

Phoenix is pretty nice today at about 70F. Washed the Carrera today and it's top-down motoring this afternoon.
