A Boeing Peashooter. Every kid of 6 or 8 would be thrilled with a toy airplane in 1962. A few years later, it would be models of Apollo rockets. Now, who knows. Lovely photo Eric

Hi Again!

I was born on May 1, 1956!

In either 1962 or 1963, one of Dad's Christmas presents to my older brother and me, were cap firing toy Lugers by MARX. These were quite a bit of fun.

I kept mine for at least 10, years, though the cap firing device gave out after about only one or two years.

We also had quite a bit of fun watching the new TV Series "Combat" on which we could see actual Lugers in use.

As Dad had captured two Lugers, during his time in the 82nd Airborne; much later, I had my very first experience actually shooting one.

Those were, indeed, golden memories of youth.
