Either they have the serial numbers and the photos confused or these are NOT Krieghoff Lugers but parts lugers with Krieghoff toggles that have been poorly refinished!
I can't see a single matching number on any of them... the frames don't match the numbers on the receiver where they show those pictures... Could be this auction house is being taken advantage of by the seller...

Hey RK and John..!!!
RK - I need a copy of your "bookmarks" for your browser - HOW DO YOU FIND THESE??!!!!! Also - John, I did a quick scan last night before heading off -line (it was sort'a late ). A couple of things - I noticed that several of the photos were indeed incorrectly placed (like one of the "S" series in the "36", one "36" in the 1936, etc..). Also - some of their estimates are off, if I believe the descriptions - like the 1937 is over and the 1940 would be a steal - but is "partially restored??) Finally - one of the takedowns and triggers I noticed may incorrect, but I can't really remember which one, or if it's the photo? I'll try to go through them later today and post back, but I have a full schedule, so it may be later...!!! Good eye John!!!! - you're ready to specialize in HK's I think!!!!! |

We'll after a closer review I see that one listed (Sn 9986) does match both on both frame and receiver... but unless they move some photos around... the rest aren't so hot. I look forward to your evaluation John D.

Guys,
I think these gun offerings were from the April or June auction offering by G-M Auctions... Most probably have new homes...especially that 1940 HK...# 11191(hint, hint...) Regards, Pete... |

Hi All,
For an auction house i would say the images are a bit poor, surley they could invest in a better camera, or a competant photographer........ Lets see some good pics of that 1940 HK # 11191 then Pete.... Regards, Steve.

Hello Steve in England !
The 1940 HK luger (# 11191) now belongs to LF member, Doc Fisher. There is a nice informative discussion thread in the HK Luger section, dated 9/30/03 which was started by Doc Fisher. Also, Doc had me post his 1940 HK photos in our Member's Gallery, the photo album is now on the 2nd. page of the Gallery... Regards, Pete... |
