Post Pearly

This is different.
1917 DWM Model Luger. Receiver is marked GERMANY. It has adjustable sights. Grips are imitation pearl type. Mag and barrel do not have matching numbers to rest of gun. Bore is good. Barrel is 7 inches.

Hey Wes,

I think I like the brown (walnut, you know, wood) grips, but I like the 7 inch barrel on that puppy!

Whoever owns this assembled it from a little of everything. And the seller puts a 'reserve' on it.

Wes, go down a few posts on the Artillery forum to where Thor has posted on "7 inch Artillery Barrels". Look at the picture he's posted from an auction (on-going when he posted it) and tell me that isn't the same Luger with different grips!

I guess no one liked the thumb rest wood grips so now the seller is offering something different.

Doubs,
You have hit the nail on the head. Exactly the same pistol. I will admit that the grips are a definite improvement over "whatever they were".

Almost like a woman with a bunch of wigs.

Wes, I believe that these 7" LPO8s are a result of the fine tune front sight being cut off at the rear of the barrel band (too difficult to repair) during rework, and the fixed Broom type front sight being silver sodered on as a replacement. Tom H.
